
How to see a doctor:
- Meet with a nurse between 10am and 12pm. (Always go early to ensure that you will get an appointment.)
- The nurse will book an appointment for you.
- Return at your given time for your appointment with a doctor.

MIC Medical Centre visits cost €10. Medical Card holders must bring their current Medical Card or else they will have to pay the fee of €10.
Weekend and After Hours
Weekend and after hours cover is not provided by the MIC Medical Centre and students who need medical treatment during such periods should proceed to their own G.P.
Out of hours

Students who need urgent medical treatment should proceed to the A&E Dept. at Limerick Regional Hospital Tel: 061-301111 which provides 24hr cover or to St. John’s Hospital Tel 061 415822 which is open from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
What happens if appointments are all filled?
If all appointments are filled at the medical centre, a doctor will see you guys specifically in the New Street Medical Centre at a reduced cost of 30 euro when, or during semester break times.
