Some of the Offices are operating differently as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.  They are still available to students, and have outlined the best way to get in contact with them below.

 

 

Limerick Campus 

Education Office (Room 307 Foundation Building)

The Education Office is on the third floor of the Foundation Building. This office deals with B.Ed., B.Ed. and Psychology,and ECCE students. You’ll need to go there to pick up any forms related specifically to any of these courses.  Basically, the Education Office is the place to go when it comes to all questions relating to these courses and these people know their stuff.

The staff of the Education will available to address all queries and support students in every way possible from 8am to
5pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. Physical Office opening hours are still to be confirmed and will be in line with other college services and best public health safety practice. If a student has a query/question or is looking for advice the following steps should be followed:

Please give a general indication of your query (eg Exams/Placement/Groups/Electives/Other) so that an appointment can be arranged with the relevant staff member.

 

 

Arts Office (Room RG1 Residential Block)


For anyone studying the BA Programme, BA CATS and Arts Electives, the Arts Office is the place to go for course information. They deal with Faculty of Arts, organisation of appointments with the Dean of Arts, advice on electives, and advise students on every aspect of their courses and studies. They are happy to answer any questions in relation to the new BA Programme. Please feel free to contact them with any queries or concerns in relation to your course or College life in general. They are always willing to help and you will be greeted with a friendly face!
The Arts Faculty Office will be available online to answer queries and support students in every way possible during normal working hours, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. Physical office opening hours are still to be confirmed and will be in line with other college services and subject to public health guidelines. Student Academic Administration (Room 112 Foundation Building)


If there are forms involved, payments of any kind (including grants), student cards, exam queries or anything of an administrative nature, chances are this is the office to go to. The workers in this office literally keep you in college! 

Open: Mon-Fri 10.15am-12.30pm & after lunch 2.00pm-4.30pm.

Placement Office (Room G04 Foundation Building)

 

The office is responsible for the organisation, management and administration of the third year BA Off-Campus Programme (OCP). A comprehensive preparatory programme comprising of weekly seminars will commence early in second year and students will also have an opportunity in the Autumn semester to discuss individual placement options and requirements with the Placement Office team. The International Office is fully operational although the team are working from home. We want to hear from you about any plans or ideas you have for studying abroad. Thurles Campus

As Senior Academic Administrator, Paula is responsible for academic administration and student affairs in Thurles including student records, registration, orientation, scheduling and examinations. If you are a student of the HEAR/DARE programme, Paula is the first point of contact for you. She is more than happy to help any students during their time in Thurles.

Rob’s Role as Senior Campus Administrator for MIC St. Patrick’s Campus, Thurles is to look after the day-to-day running of the campus. He liaises with all the major functions of the college that are situated on the main campus in Limerick – everything from Finance to Sports to the Students’ Union – to ensure that things run smoothly here in Thurles. He is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings and the grounds here as well as the Student Accommodation. It is quite a broad role so if you have any questions he is (usually) able to answer them so feel free to pop into his office (122) or just stop him in the halls!

Finn is the Head of the Department of Post Primary Education in Thurles. He is responsible for the delivery of academic programmes, including teaching practices and placements. This is the place to go if you have any questions or concerns relating to your studies and teaching.
