Meet your Sabbats 2020 21

You are represented by elected Officers: There are two full time Sabbatical Officers who were elected in Semester 2 of last year and have been in office since June. Aisling is your Students' Union President and Laura is your Students' Union Vice President/Academic Officer.  They attend college meetings as the student representatives and ensure that the student voice is heard when decisions are being made. They also coordinate events and campaigns and hold regular MISU meetings to inform the students of their work and to gather student feedback. With the current situation, they have been working hard to make sure students are informed of the changes and understand what to expect with the upcoming college year (as much as possible).

Aisling and Laura started their journey in MIC as first years and completely understand that new students need a bit more help and support as they get used to college. They work with MISU Management and Staff, students and College staff to create a positive college atmosphere for students and support all students in academic and non-academic matters. MISU is independent from the college but work closely with MIC to represent students' best interests.

Keep up with Aisling and Laura across MISU social media, where they provide regular updates!

They have a team of part-time student officers (the Executive Officers) who work alongside them to represent key areas of student experience. There are some vacancies for officerships on the Exec Committee and if you would be interested in joining the team, click here for more information.

Remember, make sure you reply to accept or defer your course BEFORE the closing date. Check out the CAO website here to find the full breakdown of reply dates for Round 1 etc.

Top tip: We highly recommend you get involved Orientation if you can. It's your first introduction to the College and MISU, you'll be introduced to college staff and meet your MISU officers.

For all information on what Orientation 2020 will look like, check out the MIC Orientation section.
