You will find all the major names/ brands and labels in Limerick coupled with the wealth of fashion boutiques and independent retailers. Mary I is located half way between the city centre and The Crescent Shopping Centre (which boasts the title of Munster’s largest indoor shopping centre) so you have the best of both worlds to choose from. A lot of shops will give student discounts. Remember to bring your student card with you when shopping!

Theatre (ideal for society outings)
Check out the listings for Lime Tree Theatre here in Mary I as well as the Concert Hall in UL. For a more intimate venue “69 O Connell Street” or “The Loft” at The Locke Bar are well worth the look!

History Buff
Limerick is steeped in history and well worth exploring while you are here especially if you’re studying the subject. For instance did you know Limerick once was a self-declared soviet in Ireland with its own currency? Why not take some time out to head to the Hunt Museum on Patrick Street, King Johns Castle and St. Marys or St. Johns Cathedrals. Bowling (ideal for class party)
The bowling alley is located on the Ennis road and the complex also houses Supermacs and a games arcade. Make a night out of it and head to the Showtime Cinema just across the road.
National Kart & Adventure Centre (ideal for class party)

Paintball - Combat Zone (ideal for class party)
Combat Zone has got 25 acres of woodland which is home to the 10 different paintball missions. They provide you with deadly accurate paintball guns, best commando kit and the toughest missions. Greyhound Racing (ideal for class party)

Horse Racing (ideal for class party)

Located on the Ennis road, if you’re into GAA, this is the place for you to spend your weekend. Between Limerick hurling and football, there’s always a match on.
Thomond Park (ideal for Clubs & Socs outings)
