The Central Forum
This is known to students as the “TARA STEPS”. Students use the forum year round as a place to sit down for a bite to eat or a cup of tea or coffee between classes. The Forum is a hub for college activities throughout the year, from gigs & sessions to the weekly Farmers markers, presentations and even awards ceremonies. The Forum will serve to be a great meeting point for you and your friends during your time here at MIC Limerick.
The Lounge
If you’re looking for somewhere to just sit down and take a break between classes, the lounge is the place to go.
an Siopa
an Siopa is a commercial service of the Students’ Union. It’s located at the bottom of the Tara steps and offers tea and coffee, hot & cold food, college and everyday supplies at student friendly prices.
an Siopa is currently closed due to Covid-19 restrictions and most of online learning and teaching taking place online.
The Lime Tree Theatre

The Lime Tree Theatre is a state-of-the-art 510 seat theatre, situated right on the MIC campus. If you are a student with a passion for the arts, do not pass up on the opportunity to see a variety of shows, which take place in the Theatre throughout the year.
The Lime Tree theatre is currently closed due to Level 5 restrictions in place throughout the country.
Student Support Services
Medical Centre, Chaplaincy, Student Parent Support Service and Counselling are located in TARA. More information on these services is located here
