Make sure to get to know what the candidates promise to work on by reading their manifesto (click on their name below), chatting to them while they are canvassing and attending hustings on Wednesday 25th September at 6pm in T118 on the Limerick campus - Thurles students can participate in Hustings via video call from the Student Lounge beside the MISU Offices on the 2nd floor.

 

Voting day is Thursday 26th September - you must be a registered student for the current academic year to vote in MISU elections.

 

The following students are running in the By-Election for part-time MISU Executive Officers. Each candidate/joint candidacy prepared a manifesto ie. what they promise to work on if they are elected by students!

Caroline O’Dowd Montessori Preschool in Crecora, Co. Limerick are recruiting for a Childcare Practitioner position funded by the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM)

This ECCE specific purpose Term Time Contract is for 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 12.00 noon, commencing 3rd September, 2019, for the duration of the AIM funding.

The successful candidate will work as part of our team to provide a quality service for the children in our care, in compliance with all Childcare, Health and Safety, Fire, and Employment Legislation.

Minimum Requirements:
* A passion for working with children
• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Early Childhood Care and Education
• Current Manual Handling and Child Protection Certificates
• Experience working in Preschool Setting
• A working knowledge of Siolta, Aistear, and Early Years Legislation

Duties and Responsibilities
* Work as part of our team, in partnership with children, parents, and
colleagues, to provide a quality service for the children in our care, in
compliance with all Childcare, Health and Safety, and Employment
Legislation
• Work on own initiative to plan, implement, and document activities based on children’s emerging interests
• Maintain professional standards and records
• Adhere to our Policies, Procedures, and Ethos
