Award for Excellence applications are now available to download here. Completed applications must be returned by Wednesday 4th of April at 12pm. Further information on application criteria are listed below.
Mary Immaculate College is very fortunate to have very talented and dedicated students who excel in many areas but whose achievements are not always sufficiently celebrated. The MIC Foundation, together with MISU, is offering a number of bursaries to our undergraduate students, under the banner of the Award for Excellence.
These awards are to give recognition to undergraduate students who demonstrate excellence in any area of endeavour, including areas such as music, arts and sport (with the exception of the GAA as College & Munster Council bursaries are already available in this area) whilst maintaining a commitment to their academic studies.
The value of each award is €500.
The completed application form will need to be uploaded on the Google application form together with a written reference from one external person e.g. teacher/coach/national governing body/community leader plus a written reference confirming a commitment to your academic studies from a member of MIC staff.
(Application form upload is on section 2 and references upload is on section 3 of form).
Interviews will take place on Wednesday 11th of April with successful applicants receiving their award at the Student Award Evening on Thursday 19th of April. Applicants must be available for interview on Wednesday 11th of April.
Completed applications must be submitted by Wednesday 4th of April at 12pm. By completing an application, applicants are confirming that all information is correct.
Please be aware that in submitting your application, it will be held until after the Student Award Evening, when it will then be disposed of confidentially and securely.
