 Congratulations to Jason Murphy and Síofra Mulqueen on their recent achievements!


Jason Murphy – Ph.D. student in the Department of Media and Communication Studies.

Following closely on his Prix Italia, Jason’s documentary “No Time to Lose” http://www.rai.it/dl/siti/html/Documentary-on-One--No-Time-to-Lose-RTe-Ireland-300cc86e-e557-4ecb-99cc-c8a63b1239ed.html

he has won the top national award – a Gold in the IMRO radio awards for the same programme


At the same award ceremony, in the Lyrath Hotel, Kilkenny last Friday,


 Fourth year Media and Communication Studies student, Síofra Mulqueen, collected the award for best feature for the Pat Kenny Show on Newstalk. Síofra worked in Newstalk and in Radio Kerry on placements in her third year. You can listen to some of Síofra’s work here. The first clip is a package she researched, recorded and produced when she tracked Graham Norton to West Cork


And the second clip is a piece profiling the new community radio station in Kinvara:
